Check Your Fluids
The fluids in your vehicle cool, lubricate, and keep your car running. Have your engine oil, coolant, brake, and transmission fluids checked in your fall service appointment.
Inspect Your Tires
Check your tire tread and pressure to ensure they are in good condition. You can find your pressure specifications on the placard inside the door jamb. If your tread is looking worn, replace your tires to keep your vehicles braking ability, handling, and safety in top condition.
Inspect Your Brakes
You should check your brakes at least twice a year to confirm they are in good condition. Before the weather turns is a great time to make sure your brake pads aren't worn out and that the discs are in good condition.
Check All of the Vehicle Lights
In the fall and winter months you will find yourself driving in the dark more often. Take a few minutes to check all of your interior and exterior lights to confirm they are working correctly. If a light isn't working, it is usually due to a burned out bulb. If that doesn't correct the problem, the team at Notbohm Motors can help troubleshoot the problem.
Change Your Wiper Blades
Are you seeing streaks when you use your wipers? It could be time to replace your wiper blades. With the fall rain and winter snow, having wiper blades in good condition will drastically improve your visibility. Also make sure your washer fluid to make sure you are using a winter-friendly fluid option.
Test Your Heater
Don't get caught in the cold by learning your heater is broken when you need it most. Test your heater and have it serviced if it isn't performing as well as it should.
